Who I work with
Melbourne trades businesses. Each page below shows what your customers actually search for, the exact questions they ask ChatGPT, and what I'd do about it. Pick yours.
Plumbers
When a pipe bursts at 11pm, nobody scrolls. They type “24 hour plumber Melbourne” or ask their phone, and ring one of the first names they see. This page is about being that name.
Electricians
Most people don't know what a switchboard upgrade costs, or whether they even need one. So they ask: Google, or a chat assistant. This page is about being the electrician the answer points to.
Heating & cooling
Your customers don't search for “HVAC”. They search for the thing that's broken, and often the brand of it. That gap between your trade's word and theirs is where a lot of work goes missing.
Roofers
Roofing customers are careful. They search by region, they search the cost, and some add “reddit” to see what real people say. They're checking you out before they ever pick up the phone.
Landscapers
People looking for a landscaper often don't know exactly what they want yet. They search “garden design Melbourne” or “landscaping Melbourne eastern suburbs”, then look for someone whose work they like the look of.
Locksmiths
Nobody plans to need a locksmith. They're standing outside a locked door, phone in hand, typing “locksmith near me open now”. Whoever turns up first with a number that works usually gets the job.
Painters
Painting customers are usually planning, not panicking. They compare quotes, look at past jobs and read reviews. That gives you time to be found, as long as you're there to find.
Carpenters
Customers rarely search for “carpenter”. They search for the thing they want built: “deck builder Melbourne”, “pergola builder Melbourne”. If your business only calls itself a carpenter, you can miss the people looking for exactly your work.
